Instead of having a bunch of separate threads with my customs, I think I'll just keep adding new pics to this one thread- makes it easy :) Here's what's done for 2008 (that I can show) so far:

Image
Image
Hierogrip- custom Moneygrip for MPH's Get a Grip show back in Jan. Not what you'd expect from me (or at least I don't think so.) The highlight of this piece was the gold paint application. It has a really nice, textured effect in person.

Image
Golden Spade-Skull 3-inch Dunny- just made this little guy for fun to keep me sane while I've been working on commissions and some stuff for shows. I'm really into the gold/black color scheme right now :)

Image Image
Mono Monkey Totem Mad*L - commission piece. My first all acrylic (brushwork) totem piece. I was afraid it wouldn't come out as crisp as my poster paint marker work, but I'm pretty happy with the results.

Image
Image
A few 3-inch Dunnys just for fun. I'd been wanting to make some green customs, figure St. Patrick's Day was coming, so I took a little time out of the schedule to create this little green group :)

Image
Some more little flocked guys- kind of Easter themed...

Image
GID Spade-Skull Munny for the Multiple Personalities show at Lift Footwear last month.

Image
Image Image
Image Image
16-inch Dragon Lucha Qee (commission)

Image
Image
Totem Teeter (regular size, not an F/K Teeter mini) commission.

Image Image Image Image Image Image
16-inch Totem Lucha Qee for the "Qee Show" at APW Gallery in NY. This was kind of a last minute (for me) custom- I usually need months and months to pull off something of this size, but somehow I did it in about a month. He's the arch enemy of my Dragon Lucha Qee. I wish I could've gotten a pic of them together...

Reactor-88 x Strangekiss @ SDCC
Here are some customs that will be on display at the Strangekiss booth at SDCC this year. Hopefully everyone heading down will be able to check them out in person :)

Image
8-inch Spade-Skull Dunny (surprisingly this is the first 8-inch Spade-Skull I've made.)

Image
3-inch Spade-Skull Dunnys (the Fuzzy Brown Bear Spade-Skull's face glows)

Image
Spade-Skull Mad-L

Image
Totem Mini-Munny

Image
Totem Munny (regular size)

Image
3-inch Totem Dunny (originally part of my St. Patrick's Day gang from March, I held onto this one just for SDCC.)

I also will have a couple older pieces from way back and a Spade-Skull Buffmonster toy that I neglected to take pics of- oops...

--------------------------------------

Image
Haida Hair Girl drawing I did for the "Get The Lead Out" show at Black Maria. Still totem-ish, but different :)

Image
Image
Totem Sharky for the ToyQube 4th Anniversary show.

Image
Image
Totem Dog & Cat paintings for Lummage's 8x8 show at Pinkghost.

Image
Spade-Skull skate deck for the All-A-Board show at Monkeyhouse.

Image
Image
Image
Image
Kanser Commission.

Image
Image
10-inch Totem Mad*L for the Mad*L Citizens show.

Image Image
6-inch Totem-Po Unipo commission.

Image
Ougon Neko Maio and Mousubi custom for Miao show at Subtext.

Image
Some 3-inch Spade-Skull Dunnys.

Image Image Image Image
Totem Stitch for Disney's Stitch Experiment 626 Project Tour

Image
Some more 3-inch Spade-Skull Dunnys.

And that's it for 2008- see you all in '09!

Awesome. That's quite a fine line of output, especially considering that these are only the ones you can show...

That's inspiring for a fellow poster paint marker user. Ive been thinking about dropping them, just dont hold up as well as paint, but easier to manage when doing alot of super clean detail. What brushes/paint did you use for this?

I used Liquid Acrylics and various size/types of brushes. I think they're Winsor Newtons- sable/synthetic mix, soft. I think I need to get some slightly stiffer ones though.

Also, posted newest commission- Dragon Lucha Qee. Another all liquid acrylic/brush piece :)
