Hello hello again Rotofuginites! It's me, your friendly neighborhood Vickangaroo!

I've recently begun working on a new toy and I'd like to make this plushie poseable. I've come up with a few ideas involving insulated copper wire and wooden dowels, but alas eventually all metal wires break... The insulated copper holds up longer than anything else so far. That's not saying much though.

I ripped open a Bugs Bunny toy once and found his poseable ears had a bendable plastic inside... I've scoured the internet (perhaps poorly) and have not been able to find anything similar.

So, what can I use to give my toys some elbows? What can I use that won't break off and isn't impossible to find or to afford? Suggestions?

Nothing comes to mind that you could get off the shelf.

Furilla is really the best pose-able plush there is. They have a sort of plastic ball joint system inside.

I think we're supposed to be getting some Furilla in stock before too long. If you were only making one piece it might be worth it to sacrifice one...obviously cost prohibitive if you wanted to do more than a one-off though.

Maybe see if K'Nex makes something you could adapt?
