Hello everyone,
I'll be having a group show at the Chicago Art Department ( CAD), and would like to invite you all to join in. http://www.chicagoartdepartment.org/ "Night of the Living Artist" will open Oct. 10 th and will close Oct. 31st. Using whatever media you prefer, pick an artist ( living or dead ) that has influenced you in some way and Zombify them. As an example, I'll be bringing Jim Henson back from the dead and that's one zombie all muppets should run from. Please feel free to chose any artist, musician, or writer that you hold dear. I will need to know by July 1st if you would like to participate. And all art must be in by 9-6-08. Now on to the technical stuff. Please send me ( kerryflaherty@mac.com) a sample of your work along with you email, by July 1st. This is so we can see what will fit in our space. I will let everyone know by July 14th if they got in. CAD is a non profit organization, and we will not be taking any % from you work if it is sold. Because of that, I would ask that you fame your piece before sending to me. And if your piece doesn't sell I will contact you on the arrangement, for sending it back. I will also be looking for donations for our closing party raffle. If you are interested in donating you work, please let me know. I'll have more information on the opening soon. Please feel free to join us for both nights. Our closing party will also be a Halloween party, with costume contest and more. Yeah, cool idea. Sounds like fun. Is this limited to Chicago only or can I participate as well?
